Eowyn, the Shield-maiden of Rohan, was born in Edoras and endured the tragic early loss of her parents, which forced her to care for her ailing uncle, King Theoden. Under the malicious influence of Saruman and Grima Wormtongue, Theoden's health rapidly declined, leaving Eowyn to shoulder heavy responsibilities. Despite these challenges, Eowyn honed her skills in swordsmanship, surpassing many of the men of Rohan in both craft and prowess.
